DESCRIPTION

The Athens Community Council on Aging presents the 2022 March for Meals 5K. All proceeds go to the local Meals on Wheels program at ACCA, which provides more than 1500 healthy meals to area citizens each week.

PACKET PICKUP AND RACE DAY

Race begins and ends at Creature Comforts Brewing Co., 271 W. Hancock Ave, Athens, GA 30601.

Packet Pickup begins at 7:30am.

March For Meals 5K begins at 8:00am.

COURSE

The 5K course begins and ends at Creature Comforts Brewing Co. Course runs out along Prince Ave. and back along Boulevard. Course Map can be found here.

AWARDS

Awards will be given to Overall Male/Female and Masters Male/Female.

VIRTUAL OPTION

Virtual runners can run anytime, anywhere. Sign up and run at your convenience. Times must be submitted no later than 12 noon on March 26.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Local COVID levels impact walk-up registration. We will not know if walk up registration is allowed until the week of the race. You may check back then, but we would encourage you to preregister. It is also possible that a wave start will be required. Those details and individual start times will be communicated to registrants on March 24. Results will be posted on-line and awards distributed at a later date.
