The Athens Elks Lodge #790 recently presented Meals on Wheels with a monetary donation in support of their efforts combating senior hunger in the community. Meals on Wheels provides once-daily nourishing, well balanced meals to both senior citizens and individuals who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Dedicated volunteers deliver meals to homes every day, including holidays, providing a much needed service in Athens and the surrounding communities. ACCA’s Home Delivered Meals program provides nearly 350 meals daily in the Clarke and Barrow County areas.
